We love playing tourist in our own backyard, so when we can pair it with an engagement session, it’s like we’ve won the lottery! Thanks to Lisa and Chris for suggesting Fort Point, a Civil War–era defense system with an up-close-and-personal view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Although the fort itself was closed when we arrived, we had a blast clambering over enormous rusty chains, checking out the day’s catches at Torpedo Wharf, and traversing the hills of the nearby Presidio to other 19th-century batteries overlooking the expansive bay. It was a surprisingly warm, fog-free day, and we had so much fun that we lost track of time. Before we knew it, the sun had dipped below the horizon and it was time to part ways. Here are some of our favorite moments from our brief time together.
