Southern California natives Sarah and Justin moved to San Francisco less than two years ago and quickly discovered that the city by the Bay has no shortage of photogenic spots, including colorful alleys, lush redwood forests, and windy overlooks boasting sweeping cityscapes. That said, we love that they asked if they could start their engagement session on a simple, non-touristy Russian Hill street by their home.
They’d been admiring a set of steps leading up to a charming Victorian that they frequently passed during their neighborhood strolls. Luckily for us, the tenant and her handsome Shelties were just leaving for their afternoon walk when we arrived and gave us permission to camp out there for a bit. Sarah and Justin were adorable together, and continued to be adorable in the shadow of the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Point, our next destination (see below for photographic proof!). We saw sea lions popping their heads out of the surf to get a look but, unfortunately, they were too sneaky for our cameras. We had a wonderful time with Sarah and Justin and can’t wait to capture more of their beaming smiles at their wedding later this year!
