We first met Shannon and Peter feverishly setting up the hundreds of cookies Shannon had baked for her cousin Marissa’s wedding to Andy a few years ago. A year later, we met this sweet, thoughtful couple again at her other cousin Monica’s wedding to Phil. You can imagine how excited we were when they asked us to photograph their own wedding later this year!
For their engagement session, Shannon and Peter decided to hang out in their own backyard—Golden Gate Park and Lands End—and they couldn’t have made a better choice. Spring had come early to the Bay Area (in February!) and the unseasonally warm weather rewarded us with blossoming cherry trees and colorful blooms everywhere. We even encountered a swath of verdant overgrowth and downed trees that looked like it was right out of Jurassic Park.
As day transitioned into night, we made our way to Lands End, where icy winds ushered in a gorgeous sunset. It was a lovely way to end our brief time together and we can’t wait to see Shannon and Peter again on their special day! In the meantime, here’s some visual proof that they’re adorable together. Enjoy!
