Finding the perfect wedding venue can be a challenge, but Lindsey and Jaime lucked out when they came across the SF City Club, located in the historic 1930s Stock Exchange Tower.
“After looking for months for a wedding venue and not being able to find one that we loved, Jaime stumbled upon the City Club in one of her searches,” says Lindsey. “When she met Sandy and did the walk-through, she felt it right away. She called me to tell me I needed to see it, and once I did we knew immediately that it was the one.”
We met up with our two brides at the Omni Hotel, where Jaime dove into a gorgeous strapless mermaid gown topped with a lacy capelet and Lindsey slipped on a dreamy lace and tulle dress with a sweetheart neckline. Before we knew it, they were walking down the aisle, brushing away tears when they saw each other for the first time that day.
Tears continued to flow throughout the heartfelt ceremony, but our couple and their officiants (one of whom was Jaime’s niece) did a fantastic job balancing them out with plenty of humor. In addition, says Lindsey, “Jaime’s sister Ali has a great voice, so hearing her sing as we came down the aisle was an extra special touch!”
Afterwards, we ushered the newlyweds to the rooftop for some portraits and sunshine before joining the laughter- and love-filled celebration. Jaime’s sisters and Lindsey’s parents gave hilarious speeches that had everyone in stitches. Our couple expertly cut the elegant triple-tiered cake that Lindsey’s bridesmaid Nicole had made from scratch, then took turns leading each other around the dancefloor as No Water After Midnight performed their song.
Speaking of bands, “Jaime’s dad Bernie was in a band for most of his youth and adult life, so he really knows how to rock. We knew immediately when we got engaged that we wanted him to play with the band at the wedding for at least one song,” says Lindsey. “Once he got up on stage, the whole place went crazy!”
By the end of the night, most of the women were dancing barefoot or in flip-flops—the sign of a great time! Here’s a look at two fun-loving brides and their special, one-of-a-kind day.
