Rachel & Matt’s Swingin’ Marin Engagement Session

We love when our couples introduce us to a part of the Bay Area we haven’t explored before! For their engagement session, fun-loving Rachel and Matt took us to two beautiful locations in Marin County.

Our first stop was the Hippie Tree in Tiburon, which sits on a grassy hill in a residential neighborhood. In addition to incredible views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, the tree boasts a rope swing that hangs a good four feet or so off the ground (good thing Rachel and Matt brought along a stepladder!). Unfortunately for us, the seat wasn’t big enough for two but we had a blast anyway. Before long, a huge group of people showed up and lined up for their turn.

Next, we headed to Sleepy Hollow Open Space Preserve in San Rafael, a lovely spot in which to frolic in the sunshine and enjoy the golden glow of the sunset. At one point we had to blaze our own trail through the grasslands, and it seemed so wild that we still can’t believe we were surrounded by homes!

Here are some of our favorite moments from that perfect summer day, including a shot of the enthusiastic pup that ran into us along the way. We expect more adorableness from Rachel and Matt’s wedding in the fall and can’t wait to capture all of it!
