Jessica & Nathan’s Fun-Filled Chicago Engagement Session

chicago-engagement01Chris and Nathan have been skate buddies for over a decade so we were thrilled when he and his bride Jessica asked us to photograph their wedding later this year. Since they’re tying the knot in Louisville, KY, they thought it’d be fun to take pictures around their home in Chicago. And fun we had!

The first stop of our two-part session was the freshly painted “Chicago” mural that Victor Ving of Greetings Tour had just completed. (Lily had spotted it as she rode the train into town that morning.) We then headed to Logan Square for a fierce Star Wars bubble battle and daring dandelion fluff blow-off.

A bit lightheaded and sticky afterward from being so adorable, Nathan and Jessica called upon The Force and zipped us over to Lake Michigan at Pier 31. There, we caught the sunset and watched as lights twinkled on across the city. We then refueled with vegan poutine and milkshakes at the Chicago Diner—yum!

A few nights later, we met up with our charming couple at the mural again for some extra love and hijinks. Here’s a quick look at the time we spent together.
