Tyra & Mike’s Forest & Bayfront Engagement Adventure

California may be suffering from a drought but, ironically, we had to reschedule Tyra and Mike’s engagement session earlier this year when a heavy storm hit the Bay Area. Happily, gorgeous sunshine greeted us when we met up with them recently at Tilden Park Regional Botanic Garden, a diverse expanse that hosts an impressive array of native California flora. Tyra and Mike frequently hike together and felt right at home navigating the lush greenery, clambering over slippery slopes, dodging dragonflies, and smooching in sunbeams.

Once the gardens closed, we headed to Marina Park in Emeryville for a change of scenery: windswept trees, rocky shorelines, and unobstructed views (give or take some fog) of the Port of Oakland, San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge across San Francisco Bay. Whether they were spurred by the fresh air or the excitement of getting hitched in just a few weeks, Tyra and Mike delighted us with a dance among the trees and even a Titanic moment. Such a glorious day! We can’t wait to spend more time with them on their wedding day! In the meantime, here are some of our favorite moments from our outing together.
